Posted on: March 1st, 2017 by Admin

Cornerstone’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Team appreciated the great turnout of parents and students at the second annual Science Olympiad Fun Night on Friday, February 24, 2017. The STEM team, led by high school science teacher Mrs. Hannah Mott, coordinated another fun filled night of learning for Kindergarten through eighth grade students and their families. The attendees enjoyed exploring a variety of activities including taking a part a computer, building bridges, separating the components of black ink, and more!

The STEM team is thankful for all of the support provided by Cornerstone students and families during this event!

Cornerstone teachers enjoy watching Kindergarten through eighth grade students grow in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math while exploring the creativity of the scientific laws that God put into place. Cornerstone continues to work on including STEM enhancements throughout our school’s curriculum, and to increase the array of learning opportunities in these subject areas.  The goal is to give students the following skills: adaptability, complex communication, social skills, non-routine problem solving, self-management, and systems thinking.
