Jr High and High School
Jr. High
Each day is a learning experience for our student body; we are excited and motivated to challenge our students to reach both academic and spiritual strides during their years at CCA. It is our desire to prepare your child to make an impact on their families, community, and ultimately, the world for Jesus Christ. The small class sizes, coupled with our committed teaching staff and administration, contribute to the success of our student body. Each student’s individual progress, concerns, and accomplishments are monitored on a regular basis. CCA has proven to be a positive influence for students during this important time in their lives.
The core subjects taught are the following: general mathematics for seventh and eighth grade (plus the opportunity to study pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry), literature, grammar, American History, and science. Our junior high students will also study logic and improve their technology skills. They participate in an overnight trip to spend time involved with outdoor education, environmental science and conservations, plus the experience to improve self-worth through a variety of team exercises. There is also the opportunity for students to attend a leadership conference in order to improve their leadership skills. All of this is built on the foundation of God’s Word and what they learn from their Bible classes.
CCA students have the opportunity to explore their gifts and desires in art, music, and drama. Our athletic programs include boy’s soccer, basketball, and track and field as well as girls’ volleyball, basketball, and track and field. Each seventh and eighth grader is required to complete a number of service hours each quarter. These hours are earned through service to the community.
The safe and healthy environment that CCA provides for the education of your student is critical to their growth. Christ is at the center of all of our efforts and desires. We trust you will rest assured that you made the correct choice by enrolling your student in CCA’s Junior High program.
High School
About
Providing CCA students the best educational environment, curriculum, and material available while developing a strong Christian worldview is the goal of our high school. CCA prepares its students to succeed at the university level and to be leaders within their communities. A strong Christian worldview contributes to the foundation and training they need for their adult lives. This foundation will enable them to train and nurture the next generation, giving them purpose and reason for living, while bringing honor and glory to God.
The CCA student body consists of students that have chosen to attend CCA. Desiring to excel, they are encouraged to set high goals and to succeed in reaching them. The environment at CCA is monitored and protected by the principal and school staff. God is not minimized in the educational process at CCA. We believe students will know how to handle life and what truth is when God is an integral part of their whole educational experience.
Coursework
Our high school curriculum is considered to be a demanding course of study based on the requirements and evaluation of the administration and seasoned teaching staff. The CCA graduation requirements currently exceed the Illinois state educational requirements. Our academics are considered to be college preparatory and are evidenced by the fact that 98% of our graduates have gone on to pursue higher education.
