Teacher to Student Ratio

The Importance of a Teacher to Student Ratio

Cornerstone’s small class sizes give students the opportunity for individual attention and time to work on their strengths and special skills. When our class sizes reach 25, we will open another classroom in order to keep a low teacher to student ratio.

At the preschool level we do not have more than 10 students per teacher or aide. At the primary level we have an average class size of 12 students. Any elementary classroom with 20 or more students has a half-time classroom aide. The secondary classrooms have an amazingly low student to teacher ratio of nine to one.

This low ratio helps to enhance our mission of building strong academics and strong students through strong relationships.

“As a student I was concerned regarding the prestige of CCA’s educational program due to its limited size, however I find myself on par with many exceptional students from publicly funded institutions.” —Roy, 2015 Cornerstone Valedictorian
